For Ted 'kowa' Hansson, esports wasn't always everything. On the verge of becoming a professional indoor hockey player, Hansson was diagnosed with a heart condition that would prevent him from pursuing a physical sporting career. Looking for a future Hansson turned to video games, specifically FPS titles in which he'd been playing for a long time at a competitive level on the sidelines to his sporting ventures. With a competitive personality it was only natural for Hansson to look for new opportunities to keep competing in some regard, and within esports that he found success! With top three finishes at both minor and major LAN events in one title and titled placements in a variety of others including LANs at events such as Gamescom and the Copenhagen Games, Hansson found Paladins a breath of fresh air within the world of online gaming. When asked what captivated him about Paladins, Hansson responds that ""it was completely different"", ""I really enjoyed it, so here I am today!"". Hansson considers his experience what makes his position within professional Paladins unique which is heavily displayed in his play-style. ""I know the value of not shining the brightest at all times to instead play stable and do some of the dirty work that's hard to spot and get credit for"" he writes, satisfied with the knowledge that his overall team performance is what really matters, not just his individual showcase. Hansson's favourite Champion is Grover; ""strong, versatile & fun. And he is a tree... with an axe"".
