Wolfgang “MrHaze” Hafer is the captain of Team Envy; and like a number of other captains in Paladins, he occupies the support role for his team. Whether it’s because of this role’s broad overview of the battlefield or its ability to control a game’s pace (via healing, crowd control, or pure damage), MrHaze has flourished at this role during his competitive career and fits in perfectly with the essential support function for his team.
With prior competitive experience that stems from console shooters, PC MOBAs, and isometric strategy games, MrHaze eventually found himself drawn to the wave of class-based shooters that’s swept the gaming market recently. But after growing bored with the standard titles, he began exploring new games to sink his time into and stumbled across Paladins. From there, he exploded onto the scene and found tons of competitive success. After being scouted for a team relatively early thanks to the AVGL league, both his talents and the talents of his teammates shined through so bright that Team Envy had to pick several of them up. And the rest is history.
Now that MrHaze is able to follow his esports dream and slowly turn it into reality, he’s doing so in addition to studying Digital Forensics as a college student. It’s a lot to manage, but when he finds time to sit down and hone his support skills, Jenos is his go-to pick. This champion mixes traditional support play with strong damage potential, which prevents him from being helpless and allows him to hold his own in a teamfight so that the rest of the squad can focus on taking out enemies.
