Ryan “RuBBu” Wong is a dangerous threat both offensively and defensively for Team Envy, thanks to his careful balancing act between patience and aggression in nearly every situation. During his time as part of the Purity roster in the Paladins Global Series, RuBBu’s overperformance with champions such as Fernando at the PPL Fall Finals LAN caught the eye of competitors both locally and internationally.
His steadfast performance and high-impact plays continued to garner him further attention as his team upset some of the biggest names in Paladins—including #1 NA seed SK Gaming. RuBBu made such a lasting impression during his LAN performance that he was offered a spot in Season 2 of the PPL, alongside a few of his Purity teammates. Now, he aims to test his might against the best Paladins pros in North America and prove that he can keep pace with them.
RuBBu is a fan of Fernando, and enjoys picking the Self-Appointed Knight because he can get away with a lot of aggression and still be safe. But when you watch the PPL, you’ll find that not everyone has the same finesse as RuBBu when it comes to tip-toeing that line. One thing’s for sure—Team Envy will be happy to have this playmaker on their front lines, giving them some much-needed pressure outside their damage lineup.
