Before finding Paladins, Pasi 'Shipa' Piiparinen developed their skill and experience within esports in MOBAs. Having qualified for DreamHack Winter 2012 and travelled around Finland competing in various LAN events, winning multiple, Piiparinen is no stranger to competitive play and the pressure that can come with it. He's also shares a lot of competitive history with a fellow teammate on the NiP roster, Pietro 'PERDO' Eronen; "I've been friends with and played games with PERDO for longer than I can remember" he says, and that's certainly apparent within their gameplay as demonstrated by the level of cohesion they share as a pair.
Piiparinen describes his play-style as "defensive/controlling, looking for opportunities to punish enemy mistakes". "What makes me unique as a player" he writes, "is my ability to adapt and (my) capability to fit into different roles in a short time".
Much like his counterpart, PERDO, the other half of the legendary Finnish Paladins duo, Piiparinen has had great success through his long run within Paladins esports. With a typically reserved demeanour Piiparinen comes to life at LAN events and whilst some mistake this for lack of passion, Piiparinen is a fierce competitor with a drive to win.
Piiparinen's favourite Champion is Torvald; "he has supportive abilities to help teammates", demonstrating Piiparinen's priorities lie with the team rather than focused on individual play.
