Biography
Noah “W1FL” Beson entered Paladins with plenty of FPS experience under his belt. During his time playing other games, W1FL depended heavily on his superior aim to help him outplay his opponents -- a tactic that has evolved into more calculated and impactful decision-making during his time in Paladins. That improvement alone has helped carry W1FL to every international LAN event since mid-2016, including the Paladins Collegiate League finals in 2017.
Versatility in playstyle didn’t come easily at first for W1FL, who admits that he was a “one-trick Cassie” in his early days. But it wasn’t long until he found himself playing front line champions out of necessity for his teams. Eventually, he fully embraced this role and became a crucial member of his team in the process. Now that he’s totally on board with his front liner status, Makoa has become his favorite champion -- primarily because this pick allows him to take over a game and fully carry thanks to his massive kill potential with Dredge Anchor.
As he heads into Season 2 of the PPL, W1fL is pursuing a Computer Science degree alongside his quest for more competitive accolades. And he hopes that his easy-going personality will provide a much-needed calming influence for his team in the hot-headed, high-tension environment that esports can be.
